Makes 1kg This is great for diabetics or for cutting down sugar intake generally. And it keeps well so you can make a large amount. 4 cups rolled oats or barley (or 2 cups of each) 1 cup shredded coconut 1 cup sultanas 1 cup chopped unsalted cashew nuts or almonds 2 cups barley or oat bran 2 cups all bran 1 and 1/2 cups wheatgerm Mix all ingredients well with a large spoon. Allow 1/2 cup per serve. Serve with skim milk or yoghurt.
