Slowcooker Red Rice
Serves 6-8

INGREDIENTS:
4 to 6 slices bacon, fried & crumbled
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
2 cans chopped tomatoes, (15 oz each)
1 cup converted rice
1/2 to 1 cup cooked chopped ham
salt and pepper, to taste
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, or to taste

PREPARATION:
Fry bacon; drain and crumble.
Cook onion in bacon grease just until softened.
Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker/Crock Pot.
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours, or until rice is
 tender but not mushy.
