UPDATED: 28th August 2005 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Care Ring will therefore close on 1 July 2005 and Lifeline will take over the operation of generalist telephone counselling services in Victoria. We would like to assure our callers that Lifeline's service will be expanded to accommodate an increase in calls due to the closure of Care Ring The Government has also decided that Suicide Helpline Victoria will be managed solely by Crisis Support Services in the upcoming financial year. This service is currently jointly managed by Crisis Support Services and Wesley Mission Melbourne. Care Ring, a Victoria Wide 24-Hour Counselling and Referral Service Care Ring listens and helps people to cope with relationships or family issues, people who are anxious, those who are lonely, isolated, angry, depressed, or who have a mental illness, or those who's lives are effected by drug or alcohol abuse and those who are actively thinking about suicide. http://www.carering.org.au/ |
